"Carol, It is unusual for us to hook up with a speaker two years in a row, but you are just too good to wait for another two or three years to bring back. I assume you have a number of programs which you can present so we need not worry about plowing any of the same educational ground."

Steve Yencich, President & CEO, Michigan Hotel, Motel and Resort Association

"...the workshop evaluation forms reverberated with praise! In particular, the workshop participants were enthusiastic about your broad knowledge base, presentation skills, your ability to draw from your extensive industry experience and your sharp sense of humor. It's quite a challenge to deliver a program that challenges and stimulates as diverse an audience as you're faced. Not only General Managers, Directors of Sales, Sales Managers, front office managers and revenue managers, but from full service as well as limited service properties. You faced that challenge ...and you conquered it!"

David Karpilow, Field Marketing Manager, Western US, IHG

"I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the seminar. I learned a great deal and now it is time to implement what I have learned. If you are going to be in the Miami area, please let me know I would love to attend more of your seminars."

Maria Linares, Associate Director, University of Miami James L. Knight Conference Center and Koubek Center

I hope PVI continues to Book your seminars...as they were really really good for our staff.  The first and only ones to date that the staff unanimously approved of.

All the best!

Elisabeth Scharbaum, PVI Hotel Group

I wanted to tell you that much of what I know today (especially resulting from the leadership and conflict management sessions we had at Aston) is directly related to your ability to affect people.  In my case, I consumed all the information and recommendations you gave just as a dry sponge soaking up liquid would.  Mahalo nui loa!  Take care and hope everything is going well for you.

Cara T. Okawa, Vice-President Sales, ResortQuest Hawaii

I just wanted to express my deepest thanks. I am the person who only ever did telephone and personal phone sales calls and I had literally not ever sent out emails in my previous job.

Well...my first day of the job the General Manager told me they wanted "immediate results". That threw me into a bit of a panic. Anyway, I thought well and hard about what you said. I was fortunate in that a major oil show was coming to town in June so what I did was email every exhibitor coming to the show. That was about 900 emails. I took a few days and composed a really inviting letter introducing our property and of course a link to our website. Once I started the emails the phone started ringing off the hook the next day and within a week we were totally booked for that period. Those same oil and gas companies also booked for times other than the show. For each of the companies that booked with us I sent a thank you letter and some brochures.

Just last week I found out that our June sales from 2003 to 2004 tripled and so did the "Visitors" and "Hits" to our website. It is still hard to determine how many of those visiting our website were due to my email correspondence but there has to be some correlation. I'd like to think so anyway. I still haven't seen the Internet reservations comparison from June 2003 to 2004 and I hope those have increased as well. I think the management here is acknowledging that I had something to do with it. I say, "I think" because I've only heard through colleagues that they appreciate what I've done.

So...again...thank you so much. I don't think I would have done that without your advice. I would still be on the phone and would have run up an enormous long distance phone bill. I do admit that I have started making the phone calls just for that personal touch and for a break from the emails. That has been working out well too, but for sure, it is not as efficient.

Dale Shostal, Director of Sales, Regency Hotel, Calgary, AL

Thank you so much for the comprehensive and well defined report. You are so adept at getting to the point and establishing realistic goals.
